Inexorable Tide still has a high enough ceiling to deserve mention, but its not a staple of counter-based strategies anymore
Now, in a world of MDFCs, my deck-building technique has changed greatly
(Damage and effects that say "destroy" don't destroy it.) Whenever you sacrifice a permanent, target opponent loses 1 life and you gain 1 life
You can reanimate other crazy value cards like Summon: Knights of Round and Summon: Primal Odin, all while keeping up the pressure with smaller Creatures such as Ayara's Oathsworn and Corpse Knight
At the very least, Atraxa is a cheaper Serra Angel with deathtouch and lifelink
This is often a bad effect because you cant choose what to get with the spell, and if your opponent has a 6/6 and a 1/1 token, its useless at dealing with the bigger threat
